Customer Service Reviews

The only drawback to the Nextel service is their customer service. We were very disappointed with one of the operators we dealt with, as they were reluctant to help us even when the problem was clearly their fault. The representative proceeded to blame us for our problem and that it was our fault when it clearly wasn’t. We weren’t sure if we just happened to get a bad apple at the Nextel customer care center, but this reflected poorly on the company as a whole. Perhaps they need to improve their training programs so that the customer care operators will treat their customers with more respect.

However, the Nextel website was pleasant to use, as the user interface was intuitive and navigating to the customer care section of the website was clear and simple. The forms were not confusing at all, and were easy to navigate through to have the information filled out. Although the user interface was great, the response time was quite disappointing, as it took them a few days to almost a week to get back to us regarding another issue. In this regard, we would definitely recommend Nextel to replicate their excellent service in the customer care arena. Perhaps this is too much to ask from a company that has done so many things right. It is a shame though that because this company has done so many things correctly that a simple customer care experience can ruin the many positive sentiments we have about this company. However, we will give Nextel the benefit of the doubt in this case, and come to the recommendation that Nextel is a great service overall that can definitely have improvements in their customer service department.
